Sometimes it is best to enjoy the little things. Like mail. Today I had three awesome things arrive. A letter for my cousin’s graduation (Congrats Katie!), a delivery from Little Pink Boutique (the most intricate bows & flowers I have ever seen!) & my camera strap cover from Holy Macro on etsy. While I put the cover on, I happened to lose my little strap lock thing. Whoops. I tried to get Chayse to search for it (she has a habit of finding small things really well, what 17 month old doesn’t?), but she couldn’t find it either.

Ten minutes after I started writing this... I found it. Still attached to my strap. I am a moron.
Yesterday we did another small thing that made me feel better. We went to the park. Watching Chayse run around and play in the dirt makes my heart soar. It makes me happy that I am a mother now, but it also makes me miss being a kid.
I have so many things to be thankful for. We’re all healthy. I have a beautiful baby who is growing up so fast, right before my eyes. She climbed up a chair today, grabbed a candy cane & looked at her daddy with longing eyes... and we opened it for her. Even though she shouldn’t be climbing on chairs and jacking candy canes. But, I wanted her to be happy & a little sugar crazy before bedtime.
Enjoy the little things. Sometimes it sucks. It really does. Life knows just how to kick you when you are down. But the times that you get back up again are where memories are made. No one wants to think about being depressed about not being able to afford a new camera, or new lenses.
People just want to see you do the best with what you have.
